Our Teachers

Our teacher, Wendy Berlind, holds a master’s degree in elementary education from Harvard University.

When Mrs. Berlind is not teaching, she participates in a number of education-related community activities. One of Mrs. Berlind’s early childhood talents can be witnessed in her fondness for children’s literature and puppet play.

She makes story and song time engrossing for children and adults. Wendy began her affiliation with the Co-op as a participating parent in 1974 and has been head teacher since 1983.

Mary Godbout has been our Assistant Teacher since September 2007. Prior to joining the Co-op, Mary was a stay-at-home mom and concentrated her time and talents on raising her daughter. Mary was very involved in her daughter's school, volunteering almost daily in her preschool class. Later on, her skills and rapport with children were put to use as a regular substitute in grades pre-K through 8. Prior to working with children, Mary enjoyed a career in Customer Service and Sales here in Connecticut.

Mary's goals in a preschool environment are to foster the development of each child through his journey, promoting the essential skills each will need to move forward.
