The Co-op kids learn about science through exploration and observation all year long. They record their observations in Science Journals with drawings, tree rubbings, pictures and art; adults write the children’s observations for them. Nature Journaling helps children connect with the natural world, develop literacy skills, fine motor skills and provides a documentation of their progress throughout the year.
We like to explore science all year long.
In the fall we grow Narcissus bulbs.
In the winter we track the coming of spring by watching our Amaryllis bulb grow.
We go for walks and look for signs of spring.
We watch caterpillars grow into butterflies.
